This event dealt with the growing use of content from social media which is adduced to contradict evidence given by a claimant as to their injuries.
The discussion centered on:
* Examples of when and how such evidence may be obtained and introduced;
* Its use in conjunction with an application under section 26 of the Civil Liability and Courts Act 2004;
* The possibility of such evidence being obtained via discovery.
